Oil and Wine at the… Museum!
Torgiano is a charming town near Perugia, and is the fortunate home of inebriating vineyards and exceptional olive groves, situated in its fertile lands, from which excellent wine and oil are made. These are among the most famous typical products of Umbria. Thanks to Maria Grazia Lungarotti, this combination led to the creation of original museums, namely the MUVIT – Museo del Vino Torgiano (Museum of Torgiano Wine) (1974) and the MOO - Museo dell’Olio e dell’Olivo (Museum of Oil and the Olive tree) (2000). They present unusual itineraries, including history, art, wine growing, olive growing, amusements, taste and knowledge, to study these precious allies of our food and wine, in this pleasant and welcoming environment.
