"PATHS OF ROSES" - WALKING TO SAINT RITA Print

Will be presented Saturday, July 21 the guide "Paths of roses", a walking trail to Santa Rita through nature and faith. The text, designed and built by Father Angelo Lim and Roberto Agostini (of the "I Condotti"), will be illustrated and presented at the Public Library of Cascia starting from 17.30. The project "Paths of roses" is inspired by the figure of Santa Rita and the flower symbol of its great history of life and religion: the rose. The guide includes the creation of different routes and running routes that, from some regions of central Italy, leading up to Cascia. The proposal, therefore, is that of a real "pilgrimage" to do with the spirit of faith, discovering the natural environment and landscape but also of one's inner self. He is currently active and already used the first route from Montefalco comes in Cascia. A distance of approximately 65 km, available in five stages for five days, a trip that combines the spirituality of two great women of the Middle Ages: Saint Clare of Montefalco and St. Rita of Cascia. In the future, however, will be activated routes of Rieti - Assisi and Cascia - Cascia, already under survey, and finally that of Tolentino - Cascia.
The guide, which is available on request at the Information Office of the Basilica, is therefore a work of synthesis of this project and, in addition to containing a detailed description of several towns crossed, also reports a number of religious quotations, emphasizing the spiritual vocation of various routes.

Anyone interested in undertaking the particular path of faith and culture, you may contact the Information Office of the Basilica of Santa Rita.
