The area of Colli del Trasimeno includes the area of Perugia up to Città di Castello and is home to a wide variety of local crops. As well as the Moraiolo and the Frantoio varieties, the Dolcia Agogia cultivar is prevalent, as it is resistant to the cold and has a particularly sweet taste that characterizes the olive oil of this area.

The PDO (protected designation of origin) olive oil of Umbria with the geographic indication of Colli del Trasimeno must have a colour ranging from green to golden yellow, a medium/light fruity aroma and a fruity flavour with a slightly bitter, piquant taste.

This is essentially due to the presence of Dolce Agogia in the varietal composition of the packaging lot.
