The Monti Sibillini National Park was established in 1993. It extends onto the border between the regions of Marche and Umbria. The provinces included are therefore: Macerata, Fermo, Ascoli Piceno and Perugia. The Park administration is the Ente Parco Nazionale dei Monti Sibillini, and its headquarters are in Visso (MC). The municipalities of the Park are: Acquacanina, Bolognola, Castelsantangelo sul Nera, Cessapalombo, Fiastra, Fiordimonte, Pievebovigliana, Pieve Torina, San Ginesio, Ussita and Visso (province of Macerata); Arquata del Tronto, Montegallo, Montemonaco (province of Ascoli Piceno); Amandola and Montefortino (province of Fermo); Norcia and Preci (province of Perugia).
